Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Brain Gym Android app handles information when you train as a guest or use an optional account.
Effective 25 July 2026In short: Brain Gym works without signing in. Guest progress stays on your device. If you sign in, selected progress and account information are stored using Firebase so they can be backed up and used for online features. The app uses analytics, advertising, app verification and notifications as described below.
Who is responsible for the app
Brain Gym is provided by Abhilash Pulikkal Asokan. In this policy, "Brain Gym", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the app and its developer.

Information we handle
Training and progress information
The app records information needed to provide its brain-training experience, including game scores, completion results, time spent, XP, player level, streaks, skill progress, achievements, rewards, daily training activity, weekly league progress and app preferences.
Optional account and profile information
You can use the app without an account. If you register or sign in, Firebase Authentication processes your user ID and sign-in information. Depending on the method you choose, this can include your email address and profile name, plus a profile photo supplied by Google or Facebook. Brain Gym does not receive your Google or Facebook password. Email-account passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication.
Online league information
If you join an online weekly league, we process your chosen league display name, weekly league XP, level, tier, rank-related information and result identifiers used to prevent duplicate awards. Your sign-in email is not shown in league standings.
Device, notification and diagnostic information
Firebase services may process device and technical information such as app version, device model, operating system, language or locale, IP address, Firebase installation identifiers, App Check or Play Integrity verification information, and Firebase Cloud Messaging registration tokens. If you enable remote updates while signed in, Brain Gym stores the notification token with basic device and app details so messages can reach that app installation.
Analytics and advertising information
Firebase Analytics helps us understand app usage, such as screens or features used and notification interactions. Google Mobile Ads may process advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, device information, ad interactions and consent choices to provide, measure and protect advertising. Where required, the app asks for advertising consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads.
How we use information
- Provide games, daily training, scoring, XP, levels, rewards and personalised training features.
- Save progress locally and, for signed-in users, back up and restore eligible progress through the cloud.
- Operate online weekly leagues and protect scores against duplicate or invalid submissions.
- Authenticate accounts and show optional profile information.
- Send enabled local reminders and remote app, league or reward notifications.
- Display and measure advertising in accordance with applicable consent choices.
- Understand app performance and usage, diagnose failures, prevent abuse and improve the app.
- Meet legal, security and policy obligations.
Services that process information
Brain Gym uses service providers that process information on our behalf or under their own terms:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics and App Check.
- Google Play services: Google sign-in, Play Integrity and related Android services.
- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform: advertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention and consent choices.
- Meta: Facebook Login when you choose that sign-in method.
These providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their handling of information is also governed by their applicable privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising and privacy choices
Brain Gym contains advertising. Where the privacy-options control is required, you can open Profile > Settings > Privacy choices to review or change eligible advertising-consent choices. You can also reset or limit your device advertising identifier through Android settings. Declining personalised advertising does not necessarily remove ads; it may result in non-personalised or limited ads.
Notifications
Notifications are optional. You can control daily training reminders, streak reminders and remote updates from Brain Gym settings, and you can disable all Brain Gym notifications through Android settings. Local reminder decisions are made on your device. Remote notifications use Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Storage and retention
Guest progress is stored locally until you clear the app's data, uninstall the app or use an available reset or deletion action. Signed-in cloud progress is generally retained while your account remains active so it can be restored. Notification registrations are refreshed as needed and are removed when you disable remote updates, sign out or delete your account, subject to successful network processing.
Account and associated Brain Gym cloud data are deleted when an authenticated account-deletion request is completed. Limited records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal obligations.
Your controls and rights
- Use Brain Gym as a guest without creating an account.
- Change your league display name and app preferences.
- Control reminders, remote updates and Android notification permission.
- Review eligible advertising choices through the in-app privacy control.
- Delete your signed-in account and associated Brain Gym data from the app.
- Request account deletion without the app through our public deletion page.
- Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and identity verification.
Security
We use measures including encrypted network connections, Firebase security rules, authenticated access controls and App Check verification to protect cloud-backed information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children's privacy
Brain Gym is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, its service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
